We are aware that domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and harassment are experienced differently in rural counties.  We know the additional obstacles and barriers that living in a rural area produce for you when in an abusive relationship.  We are here to assist you in overcoming them so that you may live a life free of abuse.

 

Our Trempealeau County Outreach office is located at 18519 Blair St in Whitehall, WI and is staffed by advocates who are trained and experienced with issues related to domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and harassment in rural counties.  We can assist you by providing you with options, information and resources regarding:

 

-         The dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, harassment and healthy relationships

-         Safety when remaining in a relationship, when leaving a relationship or after having left a relationship

-         Transportation to our shelter located in La Crosse, WI

-         Surviving and coping from abuse

-         Healing from abuse

-         Assistance with basic needs such as food, clothing, economic needs, transportation, housing and more

-         Information on other resources in our community

 

Although we are not attorneys and can not give you legal advice, we can provide you with information on what to expect in court and assist you with:

 

-         The completion of Domestic Abuse Restraining Orders/Injunctions

-         The completion of Harassment Orders/Injunctions

-         Preparation of court proceedings

-         Filing paper work at the courthouse

-         Coordinating services of paper work in Trempealeau County as well as other counties and states

-         Contempt of Court Petitions

-         Small Claims Court if related to domestic abuse

REST (Recovering from Sexual Trauma)!

This group is geared for women of all ages who have experienced and/or witnessed sexual assault in their lives.  If you would like a safe place to talk, share experiences, learn or ask questions, come join us!

1^st and 3^rd Wednesdays of every month

4:00pm - 5:30pm

 

 

If you are an adult male in need of a support group that provides a place for you to talk, share and learn, please contact us and we will work with you to secure the support group services you are in need of.
